Glamour Photography Workshop

Starting off with a look at the equipment required for a glamor shoot, the authors also offer practical advice on searching for suitable models. The pictures produced during the workshop describe the whole process, and compositional considerations are covered next - the possibilities of camera format and location, and how to frame a figure to achieve different effects. The first practical session has the participants outdoors, choosing locations at the pool, on the beach, and in the landscape. The need to plan shots is emphasized, and this chapter offers plenty of practical advice on how to do this. The second session sees the team setting up an indoor studio, and gives examples of what can be achieved through the positioning of lighting and reflectors, and the use of ambient light. The final chapter discusses what can be done with the images once they have been shot, examining the range of options with slide film, print film and digital media.
